  1. I am Poem
    By: Ariana H.

    I am creative and kind
I wonder what things I'll be
I hear my sisters giving ideas
    I see creativity everywhere
    I want to be successful
    I am creative and kind

    I pretend I'm the best
    I feel relaxed
    I touch my art work
    I worry about my family
    I cry about my grandma
    I am creative and kind

I understand the meaness and kindness of the world
    I say I like this art when I don't
I dream about scariness and weirdness
I try to be creative as I can be
I hope I'll be happy in the future
    I am creative and kind

  2. What will I be?
    By: Ariana H.

I wonder what things I'll be.
    I want to be successful.
I might be a lifeguard or a swimmer or maybe a doctor or nurse.
I could be a artist or a sculpter but I could wait.

Sometimes I like to pretend to be a soccer player or a volleyball
    who knows.....
No one knows, I don't know, I cant see.
I'll just be confident and strong as I can be.
    To wait and see.

    I am funny and athletic
I wonder if I am a Youtuber in the future
I hear funny comments about Youtube Poop

    I am funny and athletic

    I pretend I am a awesome cartoonist
    I feel Hawaii
    I touch the basketball
I worry that girls will like me and the girls who I like will fight for me
I cry about Tuffy my dog
    I am funny and athletic

I understand the hard life in the world
I say that I am a really good shooter

  4. I Am From
    By: Keante N.

    I am from basketball
    Drinking chocolate milk before bed
    Sleeping for fun
    Key lime cove
    The old xbox and PS2
    Reading Go Go Dog
    Sleeping with a organ basketball
My little brother getting in bed with me
    I Am From.

  5. I Am From.
    By: Diego L.

    Basketball
    A soft, blue blanky
    Sleeping in my mom's hamper
    Yummy Hunny Bunches of Oats
A blue and red train night light
Taking long naps in the car
    Shooting video games
    Shopping for basketball gear
This is where I am from.

  7. Purple
    By: Ariadna Fuentes

    My favorite color is purple.
    It comes before pink.

    It's like a cold color.
    It's a dark color.

  8. I Am Poem
    By: Alex Hall

    I am funny and athletic
I wonder if I will have a mansion
I hear thoughts running through my mind
    I want to be wealthy
    I am funny and athletic

I pretend that I am a NBA player
    I feel Atlanta, Georgia
    I touch the basketball
I worry about going somewhere in life
I cry about my great grandma
    I am funny and athletic

I understand that I am good at basketball
I say that I will make it to the NBA
I dream that I am the best at everything I do
I try to practice playing basketball
I hope I make it to the NBA
    I am funny and athletic

  9. I am happy and sad
    I wonder about my future
    I hear the door CRACK
    I see a flying pig
I want life to be peaceful
    I am happy and sad

    I pretend I live in a palace
I feel like I have been touched with hope
    I touch the heavens
I worry if the sky would fall
I cry when someone close dies
    I am happy and sad

I understand that life is NOT perfect
    I say hope is life
I dream that stairs would become escalators
I try to hope for the best
    I am happy and sad

  10. I am a gamer
I will always try different games
    I will not die
I learned how to beat up people
    I am a gamer

I dream to beat each game
    I can play every day
    I can’t kill my friend
I hope to unlock a person
    I am a gamer

    I know how to jump
I under stand how to play as people
I don’t know how to fly
    I learned how to fly
I forgot to unlock a person
    I am a gamer

  11. I am a kid who loves basketball
    I will always practice basketball
I will not be a ball hog
I learned sometimes you will win and lose
I am a kid who loves basketball

I dream that I will win the championship game
I can now shoot a three pointer
I can’t slam dunk in basketball game
I hope I am a good basketball player
I am a kid who loves basketball

I know that basketball players get a lot of money
I understand that basketball players get frustrated when they lose
I don’t now how people become so giant
I learned that coaches get upset when they lose

      By : Zaurndrea

The time I touched the ball for the first
time I jumped up and down
with joy every one was starring at me
I looked at my team mate
then I got serious I smiled and she mouthed ok
I passed the ball to her and I ran across the field she kicked
the ball to me then I kicked the ball SCORE
we ran to one another while jumping up and down
while saying we won the CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I looked around and I saw every one smiling
      and I was smiling too.

  12. Beauty
    By: Zaria Sims

Nature is full of wondrous creatures and species.
Nature’s roses are like beautiful serene flowers that gracefully flow in the direction
of the wind. They feel like a cozy sweater on a warm spring day.
Female deer gracefully prance through the woods, with beauty in every step. They
know how to nurture a wound on their hurt fawn.
Bees search for pure golden honey, for a delicious meal. Their stripes all follow in
    one coordinated direction.

Nature has a variety of beauties.
The trees stand tall and firm, with beautiful brown bark that all flows in the same
    direction.
Birds chirp and sing a lovely melody. Their wings are made up of stunning colors,
colors that are so beautiful they might just blind the human eye.
Water rushes down a stream with a peaceful swoosh. The water’s color is one
    perfect shade of blue.

Nature is a very beautiful gift that was bestowed upon Earth.

  13. A Part of Nature We Love the Most
    By: Sara Hernandez

Trees are very powerful if you think about it.
Trees are strong and big enough to fill the world.
Their trunks and branches all into one piece.
They give us oxygen to breathe and they are a beautiful sight to see beyond the horizon of the sun.

Their leafs, green in spring, but brown in fall,
almost like they had a life and they’re growing old.
When they fall, down, down into the ground,
they are proud to be free and live on their life.

    The tree’s branches,
    sometimes old, but very strong.
They grow and grow until they crash to the ground.
But they don’t care, they are proud.

The tree’s trunk is enormous and tall.
It can stretch into the sky.
But when the axes cut them down,
they don’t care; they are hoping to make the people glad about themselves.

Trees. They are a part of nature that we love the most.

  14. I’m From
    By: Joshua Givens

I’m from a home where when my dog barks it sounds like a loud echo

I’m from a home where wrinkly flowers look like senior citizens

I’m from a home where turkey bacon is an imposter of pork bacon

I’m from a neighborhood where vanilla ice-cream is frozen deliciousness

I’m from a neighborhood where grass smells like rotting flowers

I’m from a neighborhood where piled up snow looks like clouds on the ground

I’m from a city where people smell differently like the different types of pizza

I’m from a city where people sound like dishes clanking on the floor

I’m from a city where people wear different hair styles like the different colors of the rainbow

  15. I’m From
    By: Zakayla Sims

I’m from broccoli with every meal and cake warming my heart.
I’m from a nice large home where I feel loved.
I’m from little siblings giggling in my closet when we play hide-and-go-seek.
I’m from people picking beautiful blue and orange flowers outside.
I’m from freshly baked cookies and mint hot chocolate on a Saturday afternoon.
I’m from the nearest Metra train honking and beeping car horns.
I’m from Garrett’s popcorn on some Thursday nights.
I’m from a crowded area full of businessmen, downtown.
I’m from ice-skating in Millenium Park.

    2. Why should you not like yourself

      By: Jalen Tripp

I am sometimes funny to people.

I am sometimes nice to people.

I am sometimes mad at people.

      I am sometimes happy.

      I am sometimes sad.

I am sometimes mean to people.

      I am sometimes gassy.

When it comes to my favorite game I will do anything for it.

      I am always hopeful.

      I am a football person.

I like to be myself in all ways.

  18. I am… By Eric

    I am …
    I wonder what I am.
I hear that everybody is using me in their sensational adventures.
I want to be more in the world than people perceive me as.
    I am …

I pretend that I am the most magnificent creation.
    I feel overused at times.
I touch paper and we just know each other.
I worry about the people that get mad when they see me.
    I am …

    I understand everything.
I say that I am exclusive.
I dream that one day I could be lengthier.
I try to do things more than end a story or chapter.
I hope that I can be as vigorous as the . and ?.
    I am …

  19. I am a Basketball by Brandon Rios

    I am a basketball.

I wonder if you will ever shoot me again.

I love to hear of the crowd ROAR when you release me and go in the hoop.

I want you to come back so I can hear the crowd ROAR again. ☹

I cry when D-ROSE, KOBE, LEBRON SHOOTS ME.

I cry when everyone shoots me but doesn’t make me.

I never stopped crying after you left.

It’s not the same without you☹.

The people don’t ROAR as loud as they used to.

I started to love the splashes you made every time you shoot me.

    SLASH!! SPLASH!!

IN NORTH CAROLINA WILL NEVER FORGET THE 1981 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP.

Dean Smith remembered about all the moments you put me in the basket and remembers the big W we had at the end of the game.

  20. I am a pencil

I wonder why my head always get sharpen until their no more of me

I hear people talking about stuff I don’t understand

I see people words from my tip to make a story from me

I want to be useful but once I ran out of my carbon tip I'm gone

    I am a pencil

I feel like I am a the happiest pencil in the world

I feel like I'm done and getting ready to die

I touch my master’s hand warm and comfortable

I worry if my master will forget about me and not remember me

    I am a pencil

I understand what will happened to me in the future

I spell out words that explain my emotions

I dream about a world of happiness and me with my family

  21. In The Bathroom
    By: Alex A.

    During passing time
    I gazed at the bully
    who crept in the bathroom.

    Miniature white tiles surrounded me
and a rotten white floor was under me.

I felt nasty eyes gawking at me.
I caught sight of the bully's lips moving.
I felt my face turn from joy to sorrow
and I felt my hands quiver.

I heard the door go boom!
And I heard the bully howl.

The bully's shriek continues to go off in my head every day.
I hope bullying will cease in my head, in the bathroom, and at school.

  22. Aren’t You Ashamed of Yourself?
    By: Eric

On the busy streets of New York City, lay piles and piles of trash, waiting to be cleaned and picked up by the garbage truck.

People are just walking right by it, not trying to do anything about it.

The trash is just positioned there on the overflowing and traffic-filled streets of New York City.

The humans keep on walking, talking on their phones or just not paying attention to life around them.

    What is going on?

As I am getting out of the car, the smell of garbage stings my nose.

The ghastly scent is getting to my sensitivity.

I can’t be one of those imprudent people who just dump trash on the street and not pick up after themselves. I could not be one of them…

So I bend down and pick up a few pieces of trash so I can try to do my part in saving the environment.

I can’t believe that nobody has the common courtesy to just pick up or clean the jammed streets.

I don’t think it’s right just for the sanitation men to clean up our trash.

    Aren’t you ashamed of yourself?

    Hell Hole

It’s blazing hot in this cell.
I wish I had real food. This jail food is incredibly loathsome.

Everyday my cell smells like a decomposing body with its horrible stench.

Everyday I look up at the stars wishing I might ever leave this furious cell.
I can never sleep. I always think, “Why did I do it??”

Knowing I did the wrong thing when I helped Mark robbed that bodega. I shouldn’t have listened to him.

After going to the precinct it was really petrifying when I saw the other people in the same cell as me.

I should have never talked to Mark in the first place, I would never be in this prison. When I get out I should warn kids to pick the right friends and chill with the people dat won’t get you in trouble.

    IF I EVER GET OUT……………..

  24. This is my Life by Naason Olea

There I am at the end of the hallway in the silent corner.
I try to make the best of it.
I try living my normal life as I could.
When I see people I wave at them but never get a response back.

Behind me I hear a deep breeze.
    Something hits my shoulder.

    In my mind.

    Oh no please no
    I turn back.
    Boom I wake up crying.
    It was only a dream

Like always I get up, change, and go to school.
In the school I feel terrible and sad each day

    Each day.
I see a girl who makes my life a bit better
Who shines me like the happiest person?

Each day there’s a smile on her face
Her perfume smells like a flower in a flower field
When she hugs me I feel my anger slip away

    In my mind

I am in love with her
Always turn red when I see her

I tell my feelings to her

    Boom she kisses me

    I want to tell her

I want to be with her forever.

  25. I am by Christian C

    I am athletic and smart
I wonder what I will be when I grow up
    I hear laughing zebras
I see unicorns swimming with Jeremiah
    I want a billion dollars
    I am athletic and smart

I pretend to drive a Buggatti
    I feel a fuzzy pencil
    I touch a summer breeze
I worry about my mom when she’s gone
I cry for violence because it makes me sad
    I am athletic and smart

    I don’t understand math equations
    I say ghosts are real
I dream bout my future and what I will become
    I try at math
I hope I will get math one day
    I am athletic and smart

    I am lazy and moody
I will be a beater drummer
I see yellow and green pigs
    I hear money calling me
I want to learn how to swim
    I am lazy and muddy

I pretend to be the would greatest swimmer
I feel people fingers going throe my hair
    I worry about me
    I cry in my sleep
I am the would greatest swimmer

    I don’t understand school
    I say follow your dream
I dream to the would grist dad
I try to be my best
I hope I learn how to swim

  27. By: Ariana H.

It was a summer in 2013 and the temperature was 72 to 78 degrees. There was a bench me and my grandma sat onto to wait for the bus. But there was an unpleasant smell. It smelled like something was burning and it smelled like a dirty stinky shoe. I turned to my left to see that there was a person with a cigarette. It was the first thing I saw, the cigarette standing so perfect and strong like it was buff. The cigarette looked new and I saw the man looking at me with a face asking me why I look upset. I turned around and thought to myself, “Why do people even bother drinking, smoking or whatever they do with that smokie evil thing?” The smoke was pumping out like a bull puffing out smoke when it was angry. That’s how I felt looking at the cigarette, but mostly at that person. What does the smoke even do; is it flavored or something? Who knows but I don’t ever want to think or wonder about that ever. I found out he always goes to that same bench with a cigarette every day to go somewhere. I saw him again the next day and the next and the next, seeing the cigarette all the time with him. I see him smoking all the time. But then something strange happened. I didn’t see him again, I didn’t see him the next day or the next day or the next….

  28. Too much donuts!!!
    By Ariana H.

You know how much I love donuts?
    A lot of course!!
And you could drink coffee too, but that’s only for grown ups.
All the cream frosting I’m smudging in my mouth
With all the flavors coming out
But its ALL making me want...Donuts.

If I could wish that it could rain donuts, Mmmm
What a delight that would be
    Just all for me
    Wait, what a super idea!
It will be as easy as rolling a tortilla
Yes, yes that’s what I’ll do
    And I’ll get help too.

POOF! I made my wish and it came true
They were pink, white, chocolate, and blue
They were all around me as they grew and grew!
Yes I know, I know I made donuts, for me and you.
